- 60 minute classes weekly
- Two 30-week sequential sessions
- limit of 8 children per class
Features:
- In the first year (Music Makers at Home), students explore 4 nature home areas, and they learn about the creatures and plants that live, work together and make those areas a home.
- In the second year (Music Makers Around the World), students explore the music of world cultures, including the British Isles, Germany, African-Americans and Native Americans.
- As there is more focus on writing and reading music in Year 2, completion of Year 1 (Music Makers At Home) is recommended but not required to register in Year 2 (Music Makers Around the World).
- Throughout the 2-year program, the child's musical development is gently guided through singing, creative and structured movement, ear training, musical games, exploration of pitched & percussion instruments,rudiments of reading & writing music, and ensemble skill development.
- Symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self-expression are enhanced through a solid approach to music literacy.
- Opportunities abound for social skill development and building self-esteem.
Home Materials per 30-week session:
- 4 music CD's
- 4 beautifully illustrated posters plus game pieces (Year 1)
- 4 folders with notation games, song pages & music reading manipulatives (Yr 2)

- Parent participation ensures success at home (please arrange care for siblings)
Features:
- Joyful opportunities for building keyboard skills, singing, dancing, drumming, ensemble playing, writing and reading music
- Small class sizes ensure individual attention, while the support of peers encourages students to participate and practice at home.
- After completing the 3-year program, students are equipped with the aural, music-reading, and technical skills required for successful private study of any instrument.

- 2 Keyboard Music Books
- 14 Notation games and manipulatives
- **Students must have a keyboard at home**
