Features:
In the first year (Music Makers at Home), students explore 4 nature home areas, and they learn about the creatures and plants that live, work together and make those areas a home.
In the second year (Music Makers Around the World), students explore the music of world cultures, including the British Isles, Germany, African-Americans and Native Americans.
As there is more focus on writing and reading music in Year 2, completion of Year 1 (Music Makers At Home) is recommended but not required to register in Year 2 (Music Makers Around the World).
Throughout the 2-year program, the child's musical development is gently guided through singing, creative and structured movement, ear training, musical games, exploration of pitched & percussion instruments,rudiments of reading & writing music, and ensemble skill development.
Symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self-expression are enhanced through a solid approach to music literacy.
Opportunities abound for social skill development and building self-esteem.
